Judy Bradt, Chief Executive Officer

Judy Bradt, Summit Insight's founder, brings her clientele over 25 years of experience working with more than 7,000 clients across diverse industries who credit her expertise in achieving wins worth in total over $300 million dollars.

She began her career marketing technology in the insurance industry for IBM Canada. When she switched to the public sector, she became the foremost expert on U.S. government contracts at the Canadian Embassy in Washington DC, where she launched award-winning international initiatives that brought millions of dollars of new business to women entrepreneurs and was honored for her achievements by Canada's Ministers for International Trade .

Judy returned to the private sector to found Summit Insight in 2003. She leads her team of Directors, consultants, subject matter experts and referral partners to serve corporate, government, and association clients focused on government contract success.

A dynamic speaker, consultant and trainer, she has been recognized for client service excellence, business growth, contributions to the small business community and the success of women entrepreneurs by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Women's Business Enterprise National Council.

In 2010, she published Government Contracts Made Easier, a book and resources based on the seven step methodology that Summit Insight uses to guide clients through their strategy development.

Judy holds a BA from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada.

Tim Karney, Director of Marketing

Tim's core expertise is to optimize our clients' capture management tactics and systems once you've scoped out your sweet spot opportunities. He sharpens sales savvy with business development expertise that has won billions of dollars in sales. His tactics help even seasoned professionals to transform their business relationships and sales performance to finally get the results they want.

He brings our clients an extensive background in sales management and marketing in federal, state and local government markets.

After serving as Vice President of Sales for Federal Computer Week, Tim became Publisher of Washington Technologyand managed the turnaround of that publication. Following the sale of Washington Technology to The Washington Post, he was named Group Publisher of Post-Newsweek Business Information.

Tim spent over a decade in the State and Local Markets with Government Technology and as the Founding Publisher of Emergency Management Magazine.

Tim provides sales and marketing support services to corporate clients and associations.

Anna Urman, Director of Research

Anna's deep dives into the federal market data brings our clients' best opportunities to the surface.  Our clients value her intuitive insights that pinpoint possibilities often hidden in plain sight.

She's a leading research analyst on government market research and policy issues for clients in diverse industries ranging from Fortune 50 Corporations to small businesses. Anna has special insight into emerging technologies and issues in public and private sector on topics including Enterprise Architecture, The Homeland Security Grants Process, Encrypted Storage, and Telework.

Anna's past positions include Director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the Community Business Partnership in Springfield, Virginia. She is also currently Director of the Procurement Technical Assistance Center at George Mason University. She received a BA in Political Science from Hofstra University and holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.

Dawn Middlestead, Director of Client Service

Dawn provides front line support for Summit Insight's clients, and offers technical expertise and services in the high-quality client relationship management principles and systems essential to growing government market success.

She has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources and HRIS, Management Information Systems, Finance, Office Management, Customer Service, and Marketing.  Her diverse industry experience includes manufacturing, transportation, health and wellness, consulting and coaching, professional and financial services, information technology, construction and interior design.

Dawn holds a BS/BA in Human Resources Management.

Since 2005, she has provided Summit Insight and our clients the administrative services for operational support, tools, and streamlined processes companies need to be productive and profitable as they grow their government sales.
