Why not rush to get started? Contrary to popular belief, these contracts don't guarantee any business. For example, in Fiscal 2011, 5,562 vendors had a GSA Schedule contract to sell information technology products and services to the federal government. Those contracts accounted for nearly $16 billion in total sales…but over 1,500 vendors won absolutely nothing.
