Forensic Technology Systems
We gave Judy a profile of the client base we wanted, including an overview of who we thought our audience should be.
Judy found the right people.
She got representatives from FBI, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Department of Justice, and the RCMP liaison officer to attend our presentation. Right afterwards, we got a call back from ATF, wanting to know if we would lease our ballistics imaging product. That’s what started the process:
we broke into the market and got a good audience.
We probably would have found these people some day, but that event really shortened our sales cycle. It gave us a forum for us to present our product, which probably would have been much more expensive and time consuming if we had been doing it on our own. Judy supported us: when we opened our Rockville office in 1994, she came, which gave credibility to our company. Very simply,
Judy is extremely responsive, very knowledgeable, and was able to bring together for us a high level group of potential clients to hear our story.
Our initial installation in 1993 led eventually to Forensic Technology Systems being chosen over an American company, and to our system’s specifications being made the standard in ballistics imaging in all 50 states.
Today we have 235 systems installed in law enforcement agencies across the United States.
