Federal shutdown creates considerable hardship for all government contractors, particularly small business, and especially in this region. The well-prepared can take advantage of this mandatory time-out to tune up their federal marketing to make the most of FY14.

Shutdown is a stark reminder, particularly to small business, that this is a market for self-reliant business owners with deep pockets.  Risk and uncertainty have become constants. The fact remains that, sooner or later, the federal government is going to spend about  $500 billion this year on goods and services. You have to be able to stay in business to win your share. There are no guarantees.
